Who pays for Oxford Mencap?

Oxford Mencap a registered charity (Reg. no. 261236) and is funded by donations and grants, but does not receive any financial support from Mencap UK. Funding must be raised locally for all our activities, and contributions of all sizes are most welcome.

What does it cost?

Each year Oxford Mencap's expenditure is in the region of £55,000, £17,000 of which is provided from local authority grants. The rest has to be raised by us. We hugely appreciate any donations or help with fundraising as each year it becomes more difficult to find the money we need to maintain and expand our activities in order to meet the needs of people with learning disabilities in the Oxfordshire region. The committee would rather be investing resources in finding volunteers and improve the care for people within Oxford.

For a copy of our last two years accounts please contact Colin Saunders at 41 Richmond Road, Oxford, OX1 2JJ
